Chef Bernard has
been in the restaurant business since he apprenticed in Berlin, Germany at the age of 14. He has worked in Berlin, Frankfort, Zurich and the Rotterdam Line. He was brought to America by the Mid
American Club of Chicago. He worked at the Drake and Café de Paris. He opened Bernard's Country Inn in 1973 with his wife Irene.
Bernard's was named Restaurateur of the Year in 1994!
